. ADOPT A GREYHOUND. TOPICS is a very old breed that existed For thousands of years, has remained very pure until today because of these greyhounds of those who spoke the ancient civilizations of which we have left evidence in art and literature, to the greyhound that we know it days there has been little change. Formerly
greyhounds were dogs of the aristocracy and were highly valued. Currently
are merely tools that can be "disposable" when it served its purpose, what happens at a very early age. (The average age of abandoned dogs is about 2 to 3 years).
The Greyhound is a great unknown as pets, to my knowledge was a discovery. It has nothing to do with the topics bandied around, and I tired to listen every day.
BREAKS WITH THE TOPICS:
-requiring space. FALSE.
(will fit small spaces, could live in a perfect study, we think that many have lived all life in a cage of one square meter).
-NEED TO LIVE IN A HOUSE WITH GARDEN: FALSE.
If you are thinking of a greyhound to watch your house, you're wrong dog, because they tend to be territorioles and rarely bark, and in most cases everyone will be welcome.
-CAN SLEEP IN THE GARDEN: FALSE.
dogs Greyhounds are very sensitive to cold, no fat, thin skin and therefore are not protected against the ravages of tiSempo. DOGS ARE LIVING INSIDE
-
can not play.
There are many dogs that have gone bad, and have been submitted by hunters, so that sometimes are shy. But I have met many who do not, on the second day of coming home and playing with their toys. They love the stuffed animals.
-
MUCH EXERCISE DO THEY NEED, NEED TO RUN. FALSE
need the same exercise as any other dog. Nor need to run. They love to spend hours sleeping, so call them "sofa legs."
If you decide to adopt a greyhound, it is likely that soon you decide to adopt another. They are so good, tranquil, quiet and docile that it is very difficult to resist its charms.
Today the biggest problem is massive and indiscriminate breeding , no identification and health checks by the authorities. The majority has no microchip, or been vaccinated, and wormed regularly. They are raised in sheds, fed on bread and little else. At the end of hunting season, usually late January, over 50,000 greyhounds are abandoned or, worse, hanging from a tree, burned alive, drowned, killed by injections of bleach, thrown into wells to die of starvation and dehydration, hit road.
need push for public authorities to take action to end hunting with hound (in other countries has been banned Europeras) and so end this indiscriminate breeding and its damaging consequences. Something must be done urgently if not bred, it is well known that pregnant females are always (in deplorable conditions.) Of each litter is born puppies directly selected with higher quality considering para su triste destino, aunque de nada les sirve ser los más fuertes, todos van a sufrir el mismo destino , LA SOGA...
ADOPT A GALGO
The reality of this problem is the massive unscrupulous breeding , wherebythere are no identification controls nor health and safety controls from theauthorities. The majority are not microchipped, nor vaccinated, nor regularlywormed/de-flead. They are bred in sheds, and fed with stale bread andnothing else. At the end of the hunting season, usually around the end of January, morethan 50,000 galgos are abandoned or what is even worse, hung from trees, burnt alive, injected with bleach, and thrown down wells so they die ofhunger and dehydration, knocked down by cars on roads or motorways.
It is necessary to put pressure on the local government and main governmentto obtain a law against "hunting with galgos."
In the rest of Europe it isprohibited. This way it will end the unscrupulous breeding and the direconsequences. It is urgently necessary to have something done so they don't keepbreeding, keeping females always "in pup", pregnant, (in the worstdeplorable conditions.) With each litter of puppies born, they selectdirectly the puppies they consider to have the best qualities for theirsaddened destiny. Even Though Being the fittest Will not Benefit Them. They allsuffer the Same Destiny THE ROPE!
"PLAY THE PIANO"
The poor dogs are hanged a little higher or lower depending on the punishment that their masters were willing to give for their behavior. The poor dogs are hung expressly so if they were bad hunters, their hind legs touch ground and they can be supported, but only its front legs touch the ground, if the animals try to support them completely to rest, hang themselves. Greyhounds and hanged, pass hours and hours trying to rest your hands on the floor and then get right, skimming the ground with just your fingers ... as a pianist puts his fingers on the keyboard, without placing their hands on it. The animals end up hanging himself after hours and hours of trying to stand on its hind legs. Dogs that have been good hunters are hanging directly so that its front legs are hanging in the air and his hind legs touched the ground lightly. Death and is faster ...
Today in Spain is rare to see a greyhound with his owner walking down the street, when they really are great pets. are dogs that are adopted easily to family life as they are used to living in small spaces. (1 square meter cages, in sheds or dog tracks.)
Contrary to what many people believe, not need large spaces. Excellent fit for tiny apartments.
not need more rides than other races, two or three rides a day is enough. Not need to run faster than other races . greyhound races is one of the most peaceful and docile there. Very sleepy can get to sleep for hours without getting out of bed.
"PLAYING THE PIANO"
The poor galgos are hung, some a little higher or lower dependant on thepunishment their owners decide to give them for their behaviour. The poorgalgos are hung by 2 methods - If they've been poor hunters their hind pawstouch the ground and with those they can rest, but the front paws skim theground - if the animals try to rest completely they hang themselves. Galgoshung in this way spend hours and hours trying to rest their paws on theground and instantly lifting them up, skimming the ground only with theirtoes - ... like a pianist places their fingers on the keyboard, withoutresting the whole hand on the piano.
The animals end is a hanging after hours and hours of trying to stay uprighton their hind legs.
The dogs who have been good hunters are hung directly in the way their frontpaws hang in the air and their hind paws touch slightly the ground. Deaththis way is sooner.
In this day and age it is very rare to see a galgo with their owner walkingtherough the streets; when in reality they are excellent animals forcompany.
They are animals who adapt very easily to family life, and they are used toliving in very small spaces (cages of 1 sq.metre, in the race tracks, or inthe sheds.)
Contrary to Belief They Do not Need big spaces. They adapts perfectly to tinyapartments. Niether do they require more walks Than Any Other Breed, 2-3walks per day is sifficient. Nor do they Need to run anymore Than Any otherbreed of dog. The greyhound breed is one of the MOST passive and docile dogsthere are.
