I just saw part of the documentary Perspecplejia , Broadcast on Channel 13. This documentary was directed by journalist Daniel Albala, who became a paraplegic after participating in a traffic accident.
see ... this work shocked me. Regularly feed on disability and try to put myself in the place of those who live, especially as it has to do with city life and performance skills in a society very conflicted with the theme you are afraid, cause compassion, generosity, words of good breeding (and nothing else), it is intended charity, etc. In addition, we look at who can not walk, can not see, which is crossed with scars. But behind the obvious, of aesthetics, is a way to face the everyday from a perspective not usually seen. And this documentary does not talk about complicated medical diagnoses or what is lacking in legal matters to integrate into society those who suffer a disability, but shows the whole individual, facing a shower to a bowel movement, the movement in a house (imagine a wheelchair in some social housing).
Among the characters in this film there is no common discourse, everyone has lived their disabilities and their integration process in particular, what catches our attention when considering them and treating them. And these stories are supplemented with comments from people non-disabled people very different from one another whose views also differ. That is, they put together a collage of ideas, representations and very different perceptions.
The idea of \u200b\u200bthis documentary born from the need for the director to make contact with others in order to better cope with their new condition. And, at least in chapter I saw today, this is reflected in the dialogue with other able people who are going inducing about being disabled and live with it.
This program is being broadcast on Fridays at 23.00 hrs. by Channel 13.
Updated: From Saturday September 9, give it to 18.00 hrs. on Channel 13.
