How long the death of a child? Perspecplejia

Technorati Tags: dead children, in Qana slaughter

¿Misiles? Every day we find new images of dead children on TV Internet or newspapers. And do not even have to look for them, they come to us. Children killed by diseases, domestic violence, living exposed to accidents, bombings, rape, removal of organs ...

Today I heard on the radio that an Israeli missile killed 57 people in Lebanon , 34 of them minors. Several children died yesterday, and yesterday as well. And year kills more than 5 million children from hunger and malnutrition.

In Congo, a country of just under 8 million, 600 children die every day violently because of the war taking place there. Also, Congo is the country with more child soldiers in the world: " more than 30,000 children are incorporated into armed groups."

UNICEF and WHO report that 11 million children die each year from preventable causes , mainly in poor countries due to poorly treated diseases.

And what's the big number? Yesterday I got a picture of a child killed in an airstrike, a fairly clean picture for many others I have seen: an only child on the floor covered with gray dust. But as I watched, almost operated on me I felt an evasion mechanism, to stop feeling as another being, stop comparing, for example, with my nephew or the son of a friend and get ready for all the new pictures to come. So, with that image, which lasted me a few seconds, I thought about how long the death of a child, how long it takes to forget that death and wait for the new batch of information fatal. Why the emphasis on children? As one sentence (do not know who), they are present. So what remains for the future?
